Owner/Main Instructor
Melissa loves Pilates so much- she resigned from her position as an Assistant Professor at the Edwards School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan to pursue Pilates full time. She initially became involved with Pilates to alleviate knee and hip pain and after teacher training she renovated her home to create a Pilates Studio...and it kept growing!
She is a Comprehensive Certified Pilates instructor through the Pilates Core Integration (PCI) Teacher training program, designed by Virginia Nicholas, M.A., R.N., from Moving Breath Pilates, Tempe Arizona. This training is of the Eve Gentry lineage. In addition, she is TRX certified and working towards her NeuroKinetic Therapist certification (Trained in levels 1 and 2). She is currently utilizing her teaching and pedagogical approach expertise to develop her own teacher training program.
She loves to learn and is regularly attending different workshops and programs so she can bring the knowledge back to her clients.

One of our "go to" subs!
Sheena first discovered Pilates back in 2012 and instantly fell in love with the work. Being active her whole life, she knew that her body felt different (in a great way!) after a Pilates workout. After a number of years of practicing Sheena decided to complete her comprehensive teacher training through Pilates Core Integration (PCI), designed by Virginia Nicholas, M.A., R.N., owner of Moving Breath Pilates, Tempe Arizona. Since Sheena’s original training, she has completed a number of courses as well as attaining her TRX certification. Sheena completed a second comprehensive certification under Kevin Bowen with Core Dynamics in 2017. What Sheena loves the most about Pilates the most is that it teaches body awareness and everyone can do it! Quality day-to-day living is important and Pilates supports all bodies in achieving this. Sheena believes our bodies never lie and if we can learn to listen to them we will always find our way. |
